Samantha first found CrossFit her junior year at Winona State University. She was hooked from the start, but stopped due to the commitment of starting the nursing program as well as competing on a D2 national level rugby team. She knew that once she graduated, she would be joining again.
After becoming a nurse, she joined CrossFit and never looked back. Throughout the first year, she was seeing a lot of progress, but it wasn't until she dialed in her nutrition that she started getting the results that she wanted. She was amazed that by eating the right amounts of food, she could drastically feel that much better both mentally and physically. This is when her passion for nutrition coaching started to grow and she started educating herself by taking nutrition certifications. She wants to help others create a good relationship with food and learn what it feels like to actually feel good. After nutrition coaching for two years at CrossFit Mendota, she knew she wanted to do more to help others live happier, healthier lives, so she got her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification.
Samantha not only lives the CrossFit lifestyle, but she has a love for competing in CrossFit competitions. After she got her husband, Austin, into CrossFit, he became her coach and helped her compete at a level that she never thought was possible. Now she is excited to join Austin in opening their own gym and helping others reach their own full potential and goals that they never thought were possible, just as she has.
