Andrew first got into CrossFit back in 2013 while deployed to Afghanistan. With a tent full of sandy equipment and no AC, it was all about old-school grit—flipping tires, climbing ropes, and grinding it out daily. When he returned home, his wife started working out at White Bear CrossFit, but he chose to train elsewhere, doing his own programming. Then in 2018, during a second deployment to Kuwait, Andrew picked CrossFit back up—and he’s been hooked ever since.
A former Division I track and field athlete and Master Sergeant in the Minnesota Army National Guard, Andrew brings a strong foundation of discipline, leadership, and athleticism to every class he coaches. He earned his Level 1 certification during the pandemic and recently completed his Level 2 to continue growing as a trainer and mentor.
Andrew is known for his high energy, technical focus, and passion for helping athletes succeed—whether it's their first pull-up or a competition PR. He’s all about creating a positive, challenging environment where people can push themselves and have fun doing it.
Outside the gym, Andrew works as an IT Operations Manager and is a full-on tech enthusiast. He builds microcomputers, 3D prints custom designs and automates everything he can. He also loves anything outdoors—golf, disc golf, pickleball, and yard games are his jam. Andrew trains alongside his wife, Danielle (also a member at Honor Fitness), and they recently welcomed their son, Sullivan. They share their home with one dog and a cat, making life full, fun, and always on the move.
“Work hard but work smart. Always. Everyday. Nothing is handed to you, and nothing is easy. You’re not owed anything; no task is too small or beneath you. If you want to get ahead, volunteer to do the things no one else wants to do and do it better. Be a sponge, be open, and learn.”
